Picture Master Language Software
- Use Picture Master Language Software (PMLS) to create communication overlays for your computer or to program your portable Bluebird II communication device.
- PMLS is a unique software package that allows you to create communication boards with unprecedented flexibility.
- Choose a grid and then place symbols onto the grid.
- Browse through the folders or search for your symbol by name. Over 3,000 symbols are available in 6 formats:
- -black/white simple line drawings
- -color simple line drawings
- -black/white realistic drawings
- -color realistic drawings
- -photos
- -animated gif files
- Use the graphic format that is easily recognized by the communicator.
- You can change the format of each symbol individually or you can change all of the symbols on the page at once.
- When you place your symbol on the page, you are doing more than simply adding an image to a page.
- Each symbol includes a label and recording in both English and Spanish.
- For each symbol, you can choose the language of both the recording and the label.
- You can also change the language setting of all labels or recordings on the page at once.
- Any of the pre-defined characteristics can easily be changed. Replace a symbol with a photo of a classmate, make your own recording or add your pet's name to the label.
- Once you have created your communication pages, PMLS provides for even more flexibility.
- Click on the Run button and your computer turns into a full-screen communication device.
- Use a touchscreen or mouse to click on the buttons to speak a message or navigate to a different page.
- If you choose to use your page on Bluebird II, print out the overlay and download the page into the memory card.
- Put the printed overlay on the Bluebird II and plug in the memory card and you are ready to communicate.
- The memory card programmer is included with the Bluebird/PMLS combo package.
